I made these for a swell (capsule) paper printing app in special ed but they may have application elsewhere.
Most blind people don’t have Braille skills but are literate (approaching 80% lose sight @ age >=60), Moon is a tried and tested solution which could also be considered for the 3D printing of tactile labels and short runs of text – it can be picked up really quickly.
Raphigraphy was a dual-mode decapoint system also devised by Braille to allow his students to write home to their sighted friends and relatives – it never really caught on. There’s a lightly shadowed version for capsule printing below.
